HD Warriors: Celebrating Tiffany Lupton Rico

 Hello family and friends!

I have another very special person from my HD family that I would love to share with you. Her name is Tiffany Lupton Rico.

I met Tiffany many years ago when I attended my first national HDSA convention. She was part of the National Youth Alliance with Stacy, who I have shared with you about before. When I first met Tiffany, I remember thinking she was so beautiful, smart, and funny. She was also very dedicated to Huntington’s disease and the HDSA. She and her dad were always at the events and involved in the HD community. She was from Arizona, and we immediately became HD sisters.

Over the years, we have been to so many conventions together and have made so many wonderful memories. She has always been someone I looked forward to seeing and spending time with.

Tiffany eventually got married to a firefighter named Andrew, and they have two beautiful children. Their son Sam was born first, and then they had a beautiful little girl named Savannah. Tiffany absolutely loves being a mom, and I love seeing how much she loves her family.

I admire so much about Tiffany. She has been symptomatic with HD for a while now, but she does not let it define her. She continues to be such a strong HD warrior and keeps moving forward with so much strength and faith.

This year, Tiffany was honored as HD Person of the Year in Arizona! I am so incredibly proud of her. I was really bummed that I could not be there in person to celebrate with her, but I was so happy to see her honored for all that she has done and continues to do for the HD community.

I do hold onto all of the memories I have with Tiffany over the years and all of those national conventions that were so special because I got to share them with her.

Tiffany, I am so proud to call you my HD sister. Keep the faith, my beautiful HD warrior sister. I love you so much! 💙
